Himmat Card Online Registration

The Government of Punjab, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Himmat Card 2026 as its main social protection program. This card is for people with disabilities (PWDs) who “are not fit to work.” It is both a financial lifeline and a symbol of dignity. As of March 2026, the program has entered a crucial phase of digital verification and disbursement, ensuring that the quarterly stipend of Rs. 10,500 reaches the most deserving citizens without delay.

What is the Himmat Card?

The Himmat Card is more than just a cash grant; it is a full welfare package. The main benefit right now is a quarterly payment that comes every three months. The government wants to add more services, like assistive devices (wheelchairs, hearing aids), subsidised travel, and health facilities just for these people. The Bank of Punjab (BOP) and the Social Welfare Department work together to run the program.

Check the Himmat Card Latest Status

If you’ve already applied, you can check your status by going to the Himmat Card Verification Portal and entering your 13-digit CNIC. The most common reason for a stuck payment in 2026 is an expired CNIC. To start making payments again, you need to get a new identity card from NADRA and do a biometric “Proof of Life” at any BOP agent.

Questions and Answers

Q1: Is it possible to check the status of my Himmat Card by text message?

The DPMIS portal is the main way to check, but you can also often check your BISP PMT eligibility by sending your CNIC to 8171.

Q2: What if my PMT score is higher than 45?

Sadly, the current policy only allows people with a score of 45 or lower to apply, so the poorest households can get help first.

Q3: Can I use the Himmat Card outside of Punjab?

No, this is a project that the province is doing. Only people who live in Punjab and have a CNIC can apply.
